Is this the complete list at Lofthouse? My daughters great grandfather was a Frederick William ZIMMERLEIN who married their great grandmother in 1914 and they had a son Edward ZIMMERLEIN who because of WW2 changed the surname to HEY (mother’s maiden name) by deed poll. Frederick never returned to Emily HEY after being interned and she never ever remarried. I can not find his name anywhere as an internee but they lived and married in Gomersal, West Yorkshire. Have you this name anywhere please?
The list is not complete as there were about 1,500 civilians interned at Lofthouse Park. Have you looked at the records of the International Red Cross? Frederick William Zimmerlein is listed here: https://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/File/Details/4269685/1/1/
Handforth is given as his place of internment, but people were moved around.
